  • Install the USB drivers for Samsung Galaxy Note on your computer. You can download them here: 32 bit (x86) Windows or 64-bit (x64) Windows.  Or, you can install the drivers by installing Samsung Kies.
  • Enable USB debugging on your Galaxy Note.

Instructions

  1. Extract the N7000XXLQ2_N7000XEULP4_XEU.zipfile into a folder on your computer. You will see the following files after you’ve extracted the archive:
    • N7000XXLQ2_N7000XXLPT_N7000XEULP4_HOME.tar.md5
    • SS_DL.dll
  2. Extract Odin 1.85.zip into a folder on your computer.
  3. Switch off your Galaxy Note.
  4. Put your Galaxy Note into Download Mode. To do this, press and hold the Volume Down key, Home button (middle key), and Power button. A warning screen will show up. Press the Volume Up key to enter Download Mode.
  5. Go to the folder where you extracted Odin3 v1.85 and double-click Odin3 v1.85.exe to launch Odin3 on your computer.
  6. Click the PDA button in Odin3.
  7. Select the N7000XXLQ2_N7000XXLPT_N7000XEULP4_HOME.tar.md5 file.
  8. Don’t make any other changes in Odin3 except that of loading the *.tar.md5 file mentioned above.
  9. Connect your Samsung Galaxy Note to the computer using a USB cable.  The word “Added” will appear in Odin’s message box. If it doesn’t appear, make sure you have properly installed the USB drivers on your computer.
  10. Click the Start button in Odin3 to flash the firmware. Your Galaxy Note will automatically reboot when the flashing is done. A “Pass” message will also appear in Odin3.
  11. Disconnect your Samsung Galaxy Note from the PC when the Samsung logo appears on the screen.
