The Toshiba Thrive is a well-equipped tablet though it does require improvements in camera results and general usage. Navigating around the tablet is relatively easy in landscape mode but browsing in portrait mode is not as smooth. The tablet also tends to close forcibly due to bugs and programming problems which should be fixed as soon as possible. If the tablet is left inactive for a while, it goes into sleep mode and one finds it very hard to bring it back to life without a reset. The size of the tablet is a nuisance since it is probably one of the heaviest in its category. It does manage to save some grace though by adding covers at the rear which prevent the tablet from slipping from your hands.Features:
There is great room to personalize your tablet with new wallpapers and shortcuts on the home screen. The widgets can be re-sized at will while the applications panel is laid out like a grid. The tablet includes all the fundamental organizer applications along with apps useful or office use. The file manager is one of its most useful features since it helps manage all data in the tablet.
The Toshiba Thrive is not too impressive and adds nothing new to the thriving market of tablets. It’s heavy weight and bulky feel does not give it any advantages since all other tablets are looking to go slimmer and lighter. The features available are solid and almost all features and ports required are included. The camera does not do an excellent job either with pixilated results. Overall, the Toshiba Thrive is more of a netbook then a tablet. There are much better options out there in the same price range.Verdict:
The price of a brand new Toshiba Thrive, along with a USB cable, Charger adapter, start, warranty and safety guide, costs around $400.Price:
