HTC Eternity
If you want something to look out for this fall, the latest leaked pictures of the HTC Eternity will surely appeal to you. The leaked images of the HTC Eternity show a smartphone boasting a large 4.7 inch screen and two cameras. The Super LCD screen supports a resolution of 800x 480 pixels and it is animated by the interface of the Windows Phone 7 operating system, probably installed in the Mango version.
In terms of performance, the HTC Eternity doesn’t seem to be up to par when compared to its dual-core counterparts. The incorporated processor is just a single-core model, but clocked at a respectable 1.5 GHz. In addition, the smartphone sports 16 GB of integrated flash memory which can be supplemented by adding a microSD card. The connectivity options include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and DLNA, the latter useful for watching the HD recorded movies collection on the screen of a LCD TV, using a wireless connection.
The front facing camera supports a resolution of 1.3 MP and it also has available an 8 MP camera with autofocus and dual LED flash for pictures. Other features of the HTC Eternity include a GPS receiver, which you can use for navigation and the management of photo collections with the help of the geo-tagging function.
The entire assembly is powered by a Li-Ion battery with a capacity of 1650 mAh. Do you think this battery will last an “eternity”? Probably not. HTC are pumping out a lot of phones this year and the HTC Eternity certainly looks like an interesting smartphone. However, the single-core processor will turn some users off and the WVGA resolution is pretty inadequate for a 4.7 inch screen. Only the future will decide if the HTC Eternity will be a success or not. Unfortunately, it is too early to know an exact release date or price details.
