Apple implements a facial recognition system in iOS 5
Those from 9to5Mac say that Apple has implemented APIs to detect the position of a person’s eyes and mouth based on the image offered by the camera of the terminal of the room but there is also an image processing system for face recognition. Apparently Apple will not make a special application for the iOS 5 which will operate based on this new system. As a result, they will allow developers to design their own applications based on these APIs. I personally believe that implementing such a system alongside a passcode would be an excellent feat and would create a favorable “buzz” for the company from Cupertino.
So far we only have the first information about the implementation of such a facial recognition system in the iOS 5 and remains to be seen what surprises Apple will bring in the future. The fact that the facial recognition technology is left in the hands of some capable developers means that we will certainly see some ingenious apps. Are you excited?
