The 1.4GHz Tegra 3 CPU will be paired with 1GB of RAM which is just a typical complementary hardware for a powerful processor. But at least, we know that Toshiba hasn’t gone cheap on this device. Another amazing thing about this device is that you will be getting 64GB of internal memory plus a microSD slot which I believe you couldn’t use up for years. I’ve mentioned about the resolution a while ago so you should know it has a fairly high resolution at 1600 x 700 pixels, just enough to make everything look smoother on the screen. But don’t expect too much from its display as it uses the typical LCD screen; it could have been better if Toshiba borrowed Samsung’s AMOLED technology to go with this device.
But as much as we want to hear something better from this device, it’s camera is a mediocre one and considering the reputation of its CPU as well as the size of its screen, 5MP camera really looks very low. But at least, you’ll have USB Port 2.0 and HDMI port plus a Bluetooth v3.0 with A2DP. You can either use Wi-Fi or 3G network to connect to the internet with this tablet. But then again, you’ll be getting the latest Android version so it’s cool.
It is currently available in Japan for 79,800 yen or about US$1000. This price is just within the price ranges for high-end devices especially the ones using nVidia Tegra 3 SoC. There is no information available when it would be offered outside the Japanese market but India is said to be the next market this device would be hitting. So, let’s just wait when it will be seen in action in the Indian tablet market.
