Toshiba Regza AT 830 13.3″ ICS Tablet, Specs & Price Now Available

Toshiba just recently released its newest flagship into the high-end tablet market–the Toshiba Regza AT 830 Tablet. It proudly runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) and has the biggest display of all tablets available in the market today at 13.3 inches. Toshiba is going for bigger devices and the best thing is that it is also going for the most powerful. Toshiba Regza AT 830 ICS Tablet runs on the popular nVidia Tegra 3 processor. I guess for now you already have an idea how much this tablet would be marketed for considering it is the biggest tablet to date and it comes with high-end hardware. In due course of this article I will reveal Toshiba Regza AT 830 tablet’s price but first let’s talk about its specs.
Toshiba Regza AT 830
Let me start with its CPU because it is among the most popular hardware in this device. Regza AT 803 will be sporting a 1.4GHz CPU running on nVidia Tegra 3 chipset. You can also expect a powerful graphics processor to come with it as it is essential in making things in order especially the display. Besides, it is also necessary to maintain good picture quality considering the picture will be stretched into a bigger screen than usual. Nevertheless, this tablet would still exhibit high quality display with great resolution.
The 1.4GHz Tegra 3 CPU will be paired with 1GB of RAM which is just a typical complementary hardware for a powerful processor. But at least, we know that Toshiba hasn’t gone cheap on this device. Another amazing thing about this device is that you will be getting 64GB of internal memory plus a microSD slot which I believe you couldn’t use up for years. I’ve mentioned about the resolution a while ago so you should know it has a fairly high resolution at 1600 x 700 pixels, just enough to make everything look smoother on the screen. But don’t expect too much from its display as it uses the typical LCD screen; it could have been better if Toshiba borrowed Samsung’s AMOLED technology to go with this device.
But as much as we want to hear something better from this device, it’s camera is a mediocre one and considering the reputation of its CPU as well as the size of its screen, 5MP camera really looks very low. But at least, you’ll have USB Port 2.0 and HDMI port plus a Bluetooth v3.0 with A2DP. You can either use Wi-Fi or 3G network to connect to the internet with this tablet. But then again, you’ll be getting the latest Android version so it’s cool.
It is currently available in Japan for 79,800 yen or about US$1000. This price is just within the price ranges for high-end devices especially the ones using nVidia Tegra 3 SoC. There is no information available when it would be offered outside the Japanese market but India is said to be the next market this device would be hitting. So, let’s just wait when it will be seen in action in the Indian tablet market.
