Sony Xperia Neo L sports Qualcomm MSM8255 Snapdragon single-core processor clocked at 1GHz and paired with 512MB of RAM. Clearly, this handset does not come with really spectacular specs but what it has are more than enough to ensure faster and smoother user experience. Aside from that, you should also take into consideration that this is Sony’s first ever device to be released bearing Android’s latest version, the 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich. Had this device built for Android 2.3 Gingerbread, it might have gotten just 800MHz CPU and 384MB RAM. Basically, this is Sony’s way of impressing tech enthusiasts in China but it seems that it failed in its mission as far as revenue is concerned.
Sony should have realized that this device has a brighter future if released to other countries aside from China. The United States and the United Kingdom are just two of the countries that welcome Sony’s brand warmly. With its design and specs, it would surely be welcomed by warmly by Sony fans from around the world. As of now, there is no information as to the price and availability of the device but since the promotion outside China has already been started and with new lineup of phones piling up, Xperia Neo L might be released in mid-June for an affordable price or the one that people are already familiar with.
Sony Xperia Neo L has a 4-inch display featuring LED-backlit LCD and up to four-finger multi-touch support. Its resolution is set at 480 x 854 pixels while its camera gets 5 megapixels. With all these specs, you can never underestimate the power of this handset. But let’s wait until Sony announced further details about it and when it will be released.
