We know that Nokia Asha 305 and Asha 306
are about to be released in the third quarter of this year, the Finnish
company also confirmed that Nokia Asha 311 will also be making its
debut almost the same time as the first two. While these trio belong to
the same series, Asha 311 seems to have taken the lead, or at least it
has an edge over the first two as far as specs are concerned. We have
already made our conclusion a separate report that both 305 and 306 will
be marketed to keep Nokias brand in the loop, on the other hand, Asha
311 will be competing with other devices on the lower-end level with its
fairly good specs.
Hardware. Nokia already confirmed reports that Asha 311 will be
sporting a single-core 1GHz processor, this is better than several
budget-friendly Android smart phones which come in with just 800 MHz
CPU. This time, the Finnish company seems willing to give everything
needed to make this device shine. In all fairness, for a non-Android
mobile phone, having a 1GHz processor could be one of the best things
that you could ever ask for.
Additionally, Nokia gave this device 128 MB of random access memory
(RAM) making its every process or operation smoother than what you’d
expect from a mobile phone. However, as much as we want to get storage
enough to save our important files into, we cannot get it from this
device as it only offers 140 MB. The good news is that there is a
microSD slot that supports a card of up to 32 GB, although you really
have to spent some cash on it.
Nokia Asha 311 will also feature 3.0 inches screen size to give you a
resolution of 240 x 400 pixels or around 155 ppi density. Aside from
that, the device will feature the dated liquid crystal display LCD. This
time around, the company makes us of capacitive touch screen support
multi-touch. Moreover, its camera comes with 3.2 megapixels with an
aperture size of F2.8. Among the features are White balance, Exposure
control, Effects, Digital Zoom and Self-timer. Of course, there will be
Bluetooth (version 2.1), Wi-Fi supporting 802.11 b, g, n and it can work
on any GSM/UMTS network around the world.
Its small dimension makes it even more pocketable. To be exact Nokia
Asha 311′s dimensions are 4.17 x 2.05 x 0.51 inches. Simply like the
previous mobile phones from Nokia, Asha 311 can be put in any of your
pocket without you worrying of it to fall because it will surely fit in
your wallet. One of the selling points of this mobile phone is its
processor which is fast enough to run Series 40 UI system. As of now,
there is no information as to how much the price of this device would be
or the specific date when it will be released in the market for the
public. If you are going to compare it with other Android devices, you
will just get disappointed because it will stand no chance. But when it
comes to usability, flexibility and performance, this device can be
trusted.
