Earlier this year, there were a few arguments between Apple and
Samsung. You probably remember the dispute between the two companies, on
the account of the similarity of the Galaxy S models and iPhone
terminals. Well, here it is where it gets interesting. Legal actions
have resulted in the permission for Apple to have a peek at Samsung’s
future portfolio, the latter company seeking similar rights.
Apple opposed the Asian manufacturer to take a look at its iPhone 5 and iPad 3. What is more, recently they even said that no less than 25 Samsung smartphones are clones of their iPhone terminal. The legal complaint about the copying of designs targeted smartphones such as the Samsung Captivate, Galaxy S 4G, Mesmerize, Fascinate, Nexus S, Gem, Intercept, Acclaim and others, but Apple has now added other handsets to this list resulting in a total of 25 smartphones. Among the models that the Cupertino giant is attacking are the Droid Charge, Galaxy Ace, Galaxy Prevail, Gravity, Nexus S 4G, Sidekick and Galaxy S II. Noticed something rather peculiar about this list? The Sidekick, maybe? It’s very funny to see the Sidekick terminal on the list whose first version was launched on the market in 2002, when the iPhone was just a dream. Thus, we can say that the new Sidekick manufactured by Samsung has nothing in common with the iPhone and Apple has certainly exaggerated in all of this.
If Apple has recently accused Samsung of harassment, we can now actually say the reverse, since the company is throwing some serious and repeated accusations at Samsung. Do you think Apple is acting childish because they are afraid of their competitors? Or is Samsung actually ripping off Apple? Stay tuned for more news as we will see how all of this will pan out in the future.
