Samsung has managed to have record sales for their excellent Android smartphone. Samsung Galaxy S II is likely to be the “phone of 2011″. Ever since I first grabbed the smartphone, I had a small hunch and believed that it will prove to be a big success. And my expectations were not disappointed after all! Well, it is clear that we are dealing with a hit and this opinion is not only mine. It is universally shared and proven by the sales of this model. The very good feedback from the market is obvious when looking at the staggering sales numbers.
As a result, we learn that Samsung has sold no less than 3 million Galaxy S II units in only 55 days after its launch. Samsung has beaten its own record and managed to sell about 50,000 phones a day, with a considerable contribution coming from the European market. These sales can only make the people from Google extremely happy as the Galaxy S II smartphone, like its predecessor, will increase the popularity of the Android platform.
So what is the next record and bridge to cross? The next step (and broken record) is to reach 10 million sold units of the Galaxy S II phone. This performance would beat the sales of the first Galaxy S. It has sold over 10 million units last year, and if the evolution of the dual core smartphone market continues at the current pace, the record will be certainly smashed. The U.S. carrier variants haven’t arrived on the shelves as a release date is not announced yet. If they finally arrive, breaking the 10 million record would be a much smoother process. What are you waiting for? Have you got your hands on Samsung’s latest offering? Stay tuned for more news
