HTC EVO 3D
The HTC EVO 3D comes with a 4.3-inch qHD display running at a resolution of 540 x 960, which reminds us of the screen present on the HTC Sensation terminal. There’s a catch though! The difference is that this display can display three-dimensional images without requiring special glasses, which is always an advantage compared to technologies that require 3D glasses. Regarding the 3D capture, the new HTC uses two 5-megapixel cameras in the back and a sensor of 1.3 megapixels in the front useful for video calls. So is 3D a gimmick or not? 3D will produce some interesting photos but if you’re not going to use it often or aren’t absorbed by this 3D frenzy, the 3D features will not be worth it.
The hardware includes a Qualcomm MSM8660 dual core processor, a dual core clocked at 1.2GHz and 1GB RAM, specs again similar to those of the Sensation smartphone. The phone has a button that makes the transition from 2D to the 3D graphics for traditionalists or those who are bored by the third dimension. The EVO 3D is running the Android 2.3 Gingerbread operating system boasting the HTC Sense 3.0interface and it looks and feels fantastic. The battery that makes possible all these technologies is a unit of 1730mAh that will give users a full day of autonomy according to the testers from Slashgear.
Overall, the HTC EVO is a top tier smartphone with a beautiful high-res screen, Sense 3.0 and a powerful dual-core processor. Simply delicious, folks!
