Feel the Thrill of Dungeon Siege III on Your Xbox360 or PS3

Obsidian Entertainment and Square Enix boast their release of the third installment of the ever-popular Dungeon Siege series to Xbox 360 and PS3. In addition, they also send out waves of dreadful bosses, which are actually worth standing against since heaps of loot can be of great help as you carry on with your quest. If you’re seeking an exciting, action role-playing game which can be played by two people on the same screen, then this would be an ideal game for you since Dungeon siege III is definitely the most exciting game of its genre.
Sieze the Dungeons
The game takes place in the same lands as the other Dungeon Siege games. However, aside from some references and changed environments, you would never know. The story completely stands out from the other games.  While two can play on the same console, four players can still play together, assuming the character of Lucas Montbarron, the sword-wielding warrior, Anjali, who can change from human form to an incarnation of elemental fire, Reinhart Manx, an arcane magic scholar; and Katarina, a firearms expert. Each character also has two offensive stances. For instance, Katarina uses her rifle to take care of enemies from a distance and dual-wield shotguns and pistols and curses in close combat.
The only fault during battle, though, is that the camera has some strange movements while playing on one screen with two players. The camera will over-rotate, and in some cases, won’t be let you see your target, or where the other members of the party are. This may not lead most gamers to death, but it can be very annoying. Each character is customizable. Once you’ve gone up a level, you receive points to assign into combat ability that lets you boost character’s potency in battle, and talents, which give you passive skills.
The Dungeon Siege Series is the friendliest co-op action-RPG since it does not bring up competition among players, especially when they get to defeat different bosses in the game. In fact, they can share whatever gold and loot is obtained as well as the health and focus orbs that enemies drop. You can also access all of your quests and items as well as the breadcrumbs, a line of gold orbs that direct you to your destination for a short period, using the d-pad. Graphics-wise, the game holds its own. The environment glows a little bit too much for my liking, but it’s not bad by any means. Character and enemies have some modest detail to them, but nothing makes you want to say “wow”.
Get Your Weapons Ready
There’s nothing so great about the story, but it’s not that boring either. However, conversations can be a bit frustrating, making you skip the voice act just to speed it up. Each player can vote on which dialogue option should be said, but only one person gets the final say. You earn accomplishments and deeds give your party a passive buff, depending on how often you agree/disagree on dialogue. The story is going to play itself out anyway.  Dungeon Siege III is a game worth playing. No competition over the massive amount of loot you’ll come across, and most of all, exciting.
