Just after a successful tour by the game in the modern era, Call of Duty launched by Activision now heads back to the World War phase of the 1940’s. In this game the shooter has to attempt at things which were there in the previous version also. However, these things would be tried out in a new era altogether. The new facets of the game are worth interesting enough to witness with being moulded into an older conflict. The experience of playing the game is far more superior and better than ever before.
The campaign of the game has been split in two different fronts where in one half the player has to play as an American Marine who fights against the Japanese forces to push them back to Okinawa. In the later part of the game the player has to play as a Russian boot where he needs to push the Germans out of their motherland and capture Berlin. Similar to the previous versions the campaign jumps back and forth between the two stages. Thus as a player one plays a level or two as a different person and the next few levels from the other side. This keeps on happening till the 13th level.
In the campaigns there seems to be a good amount of variety available to a shooter. And with the levels increasing it becomes more interesting. With the multiplayer gaming option people can stay glued to fight it against each other on the screen. It is similar to the COD 4 and has been developed on the same radar. The graphics seems to be catchy and it will surely attract the gamers.
The audio playback is great and makes one feel and be engrossed while playing the game to make it a real life situation. The game has been developed on a platform depicting what a 15 year old would do to make things different on a World War II situation.
The game serves the purpose by providing great action. But still at many places it seems to be out of place. The developers have changed the weird noise which the grenades made. The developers have tried to bring a real life effect by changing the sound effects to a certain extent. There is a sound of live grenade when someone is killed. Though this is not a bad thing, the players will take time to get used to the new effects. It is better than the old sound effect as the old one seemed to be a little out of place.
Though there are minor changes in the new version of the game it still promises to attract the gamers. It is a very competent game with great action involved. The multiplayer facet of the game makes it exciting. It brings the player almost into a real fight. The players remain glued to the game fighting against each other.
