10 Useful Android Apps For Bloggers Which They Use in Daily life

It is very important for us bloggers to be able to know the status of our blogs every now and then. Being an Android user, I have been looking for apps that would help me do my responsibilities for my blogs, after all this is where I get my income. So even if I’m on the go, I do monitor them and from to time post some information that come to my mind.

Being a blogger, It’s not always your blog that keeps you busy, there are a lot of things you needed to supervise. For example, You hired a regular writer for your site and you need monitor his progress or make payment. Yes, There are apps for that, too.
Now, I have a list of Android apps for bloggers here. Choose which of these really fits your needs.
1. WordPress for Android – If you are maintaining a WordPress blog and you have some ideas in mind that you don’t want to forget, then write a blog post about it and publish using your Android phone. This app is what you need to do the job for you.
Using WordPress for Android needs a little knowledge on HTML because it doesn’t have  WYSIWYG editor. In making a post, all you have to know is how to bold, italicized, underline and start another paragraph. If you know the basic HTML codes for these, then you’re good to go. Also, you can insert post using this app so everything has been taken care of.
2. Blogger App – If you are on Blogspot.com, this Android app can also help you a lot. This is the official Blogger app on Android and it’s working really well considering it is also developed by Google.
Blogger app would let you publish post together with photos and labels. You can also easily switch between apps if you have multiple accounts. Basically, blogging on Blogger is made easier by this app.
3. Disqus – This is only applicable if you have installed Disqus commenting system on your blog as you will be able to moderate comments; approving, deleting, and marking them as spam are made easier than ever in this app.
Disqus is among the most popular commenting system on several platforms including WordPress.
4. Tumblr – If you are creative then you should have at least a Tumblr account. If you do, then you just need this app for your Android device. Still, this is one way to update your blog on Tumblr and that you can do almost everything using it.
You can share your photos, quotes, videos, text and links. You can create posts almost immediately and save them as draft if you still have something to add to them. Aside from you can queue or schedule them at a specific time of your choice. Managing your Tumblr blogs (if you have many) is also made lighter and simpler.
5. AnyPost – Although not official, this is a full-featured client for Ping.fm which you can use to sync your Ping.fm account so that you can easily update your status in Twitter, Facebook, MySpace, etc.
You can also update your current location, share some photos, and view your most recent posts that come with thumbnails.
6. Posterous Spaces – For sharing purposes, this app has what it takes to give you what you and your blog need. In seconds, you can post almost anything including text, photos, videos or combine all of them. If you have setup your Facebook account or other social networking accounts on it, it will broadcast every public post you make to those accounts making them visible for all your friends.
This is the official client of Posterous so you don’t have to worry much about privacy.
7. HootSuite – This is more of a social networking than a blogger’s app but it is still very useful for us who maintains websites. HootSuite actually makes sharing so simple; you can comment on Facebook, update your Twitter, and view Linkedin connections wherever, whenever.
Sharing your blog posts is very important so you cannot just underestimate the capabilities of this app because a lot of bloggers have proven it to be very helpful, including myself.
8. PayPal – This is PayPal’s official app and it has been verified and proven safe to use. For sure, bloggers need this app to conduct online transactions without writing checks or going the banks. You can pay your writers, buy some themes and ebooks, etc. When it comes to financial matters, PayPal Android app is what you need.
You can send money, check your balance, withdraw money or view past transactions, all these using your Android phone. Isn’t that convenient?
9. YouTube – Of course you know what YouTube is capable of. First, you can stream videos through this app or look for the new ones that would be worth telling others. Usually, I do search for videos where I can base some of my articles like how-to guides, tutorials and reviews. For those running technology blogs, there are a lot of things you can get from YouTube and through this app you will be able to do them.
I often post game reviews on YouTube showing how things work on my console. The point is YouTube can also be a good medium to promote everything even your blogs. Most of the time YouTube video streamers will click on a link you put on the description of your video. Thus, if you have videos worth watching for and you want your blogs to benefit from them, try putting your links in any of those videos and you will see its power.
10. Facebook – Why include this on the list? If you are a blogger then you know that Facebook can be a good source of traffic. If you posted a blog and you have lots of friends who are willing to read your posts, then it’s worth-sharing right? That’s where Facebook for Android app enters the scene.
Well, of course, you can connect with your friends, families and acquaintances with this app and that’s really the main purpose. But we bloggers have our own way to convert everything into a traffic source.
I’m not sure if I mentioned all the Android apps we bloggers can use in our day-to-day chores but I believe the ones I mentioned here are very useful. So, if there’s one you think fits your needs as a blogger, then go for it. After all, you have nothing to lose since these apps are offered for free.
